SLEEP COOL

Your "Bamboo" Blanket Isn't Bamboo. It's Rayon.

You bought it to sleep cool and natural. But most "bamboo" fabric can't even legally be labeled "bamboo" - because the bamboo is dissolved in chemicals and spun into rayon. Here's the 100% cotton blanket that's actually both: woven to breathe, and genuinely natural.

A real natural fiber - 100% cotton, never chemically reconstituted

An open weave that actually breathes - cool, dry sleep

Oeko-Tex® certified · one ingredient · nothing to hide

SLEEP COOL - THE HONEST WAY

What 'bamboo' fabric actually is:

Before "bamboo" bedding reaches your bed, here's what happens to it:

The bamboo is pulped and dissolved in a bath of harsh chemical solvents.

That sludge is forced through spinnerets and reconstituted into a fiber

What comes out is rayon - a regenerated fiber that, by U.S. law, has to be labeled "rayon," not "bamboo."

The FTC has fined major retailers millions for labeling this rayon as "bamboo" - and for calling it "natural" and "eco-friendly." Because by the time it's fabric, the FTC has found it's none of those things.

So the "natural, sustainable bamboo" you thought you bought? It's a chemically-processed fiber wearing a plant's name.

You didn't buy "bamboo" for the word on the tag.
You bought it for two reasons:

Cooling -

you're a hot sleeper, and you wanted to stop waking up damp.

Natural -

you wanted something clean against your skin, not a chemistry experiment.

Bamboo viscose hands you a chemically-reconstituted fiber dressed up as a plant.

Muslin gives you both, honestly: a genuinely natural fiber, woven open so it actually breathes.

FTC: calling it "natural" is misleading

Smooth sateen - wicks moisture, but a tighter weave

Production chemicals must be washed out (per FTC)

Can thin & pill - varies

"Bamboo" - a word the FTC says it can't use

SLEEP COOL - THE HONEST WAY

Genuinely Natural

100% cotton - mechanically spun and woven, never dissolved or reconstituted. The fiber that touches your skin is the fiber that grew in the field. One ingredient, nothing added.

Cooling Is the Weave

Muslin's open, multi-layer structure lets your body heat pass straight through - airflow you can see when you hold it to the light. It's not a coating or a finish; it's the fabric itself, so it never washes out.

Nothing to Wash Out. Nothing to Hide.

No chemical solvents to rinse, no synthetic coatings, no mislabeled marketing. Oeko-Tex® certified and independently tested for harmful substances - so you know exactly what's against your skin.

Softer Every Wash

Where rayon can thin and pill over time, muslin does the opposite - it gets softer and more lived-in with every wash, for years.

What's the real difference between muslin and "bamboo" bedding?

Muslin is a natural fiber - cotton - that's spun and woven. "Bamboo" bedding is rayon: a fiber chemically regenerated from bamboo pulp. One is natural as it is; the other has to be processed to become fabric. Muslin is also Oeko-Tex® certified, with one ingredient and nothing to wash out.

Isn't bamboo natural?

The plant is. The fabric usually isn't. To turn bamboo into thread, it's dissolved in chemical solvents and reconstituted into rayon - which is why the FTC requires most "bamboo" textiles be labeled "rayon," not "bamboo," and has fined retailers for calling them "natural" or "eco-friendly."

Is muslin actually cooling?

Yes - and it cools by airflow. Muslin's open, multi-layer weave lets body heat and moisture pass straight through (you can see the openness when you hold it to the light). It's not a finish or a coating - it's the structure of the fabric, so it never washes out.
